Reimagining Aging in a CCRC….

When I was working and raising a family I never thought about ‘aging and retirement’. Then friends moved away, and I realized I needed more social interactions. I am amazed and delighted with the opportunities here to connect with interesting people in a wide variety of activities, many new to me like the Green Team and the Wine Seminars. I appreciate having time to continue my civic endeavors: creating and leading Senior Outreach at Gunston Hall Plantation and becoming involved in a leadership role with the Virginia Continuing Care Residents Association. I love having time for travel, family, reading, taking advantage of cultural activities and creating digital photography books in a place where one does not have to keep up a house or a garden!  And, I appreciate having excellent health care support in ‘my own home’!
