When I came to Goodwin House Alexandria for an interview, the first question I was asked was “why do you want to work with seniors?”

I could not answer the question because I did not think about the job as working with seniors, but working with people.  Which is how I responded.  I came to GHA at the request of a previous Chaplain in January 1999.  We had worked together before.

I continue to stay at GHA and enjoy meeting and getting to know the residents and staff.  I have met many varied and interesting people, with wonderful life experiences and stories to share.  I have learned from the residents and staff about life, cultures and how to work together as a team.

The Values and Mission of Goodwin House are the core of my life at GHA.
