Heba Sikander, Human Resources Generalist, Goodwin House

7 years ago, I joined the Goodwin House team. During my first year in college, I was honored to begin my occupation in Dining Services as a part time Server. After a year and a half, I was promoted to Dining Services Supervisor. With the help of the Dining Services Director, Sterling Lindsay, I was learning the ins and outs of how to be an effective leader at GHA. A year and a half later, I was promoted again to Catering Manager. I was able to use my creative ideas and express those ideas for our residents’ events and department events. It kept me very busy! As a Catering Manager, Sterling had graciously prepped me for my next chapter by helping me transition into Human Resources (HR), a little over a year later. Today, I am an HR Generalist and I have learned about not only GHA, but GHBC as well. The HR team has been a great support system for me and have encouraged me so much in the two years with HR. I appreciate the long-lasting friendships, the family and the opportunities that I have built at Goodwin House, I am forever grateful.
