Andy Siegel, Palliative Care & Hospice Administrative Intern

It’s always been important to me for people to age gracefully and with purpose.  When I joined the Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) family with Goodwin House Palliative Care and Hospice (GHPC&H), I saw that everyone here is devoted to the same thing. I have had the honor to sit with GHPC&H patients and listen to their life stories, their concerns, and the things that they value most in their lives. I have watched Goodwin House staff members move mountains to ensure that patients and families have their wishes honored during their last months, weeks, and days. This week I had a family member of a patient call me to thank our team for such uniquely personalized and responsive care for her loved one. This is clearly the standard at GHI, and since I started here, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from all those who created this standard and continue to make it a priority for all of our residents. I’m looking forward to next summer when I will begin my Administrator-in-Training program with Linda Lateana, GHI Chief Operating Officer. The fun never stops!
